I’m Karolina Kaszuba, a Poland based digital product designer, currently residing in a beautiful city of Gdańsk. I was working for 5 years for one of the biggest media companies in Poland. I focused on crafting interfaces and experiences for all devices, doing research in the meantime. Earlier on while studying I was also freelancing for 4 years mostly for small businesses doing all kinds of stuff web related. In my free time I take landscape, nature and portrait photos, read books, travel and learn how to edit and produce movies.

I worked with
User interface and graphic design
It all begun when I started using the Internet — this absolutely brilliant idea — in 1997. I even remember the time when there was no Google :). I also fell in love with graphic design and I was taking my first steps in Adobe Photoshop in 2002. Being fascinated by the new technology and visual creation it was only natural to pursue a career as a digital product designer.
I pay close attention to details — typography, colours, contrast, layout, grids — all that constitutes a general sense of aesthetics and beauty. An iterative design process that includes accepting and managing feedback is of great importance to me. I used to develop websites from scratch so I have a deep understanding of how the programmers work and what they need. Having completed multiple projects I have an ability to independently drive product design.
Mobile apps and responsive web design
In recent years we’ve been witnessing the surge in all kinds of tech devices: smartphones, tablets, smartwatches and smart TVs.
I have experience in designing native mobile apps for both iOS and Android operating systems. I’m familiar with the specific design guidelines, patterns, and libraries.
The importance of responsive web design is nowadays really obvious.

you’re not designing, you’re assuming; you’re drawing pretty pictures.

User experience design
I have expertise in developing information architecture, interaction models, user flows, performing market analysis, managing usability testing, drawing conclusions from customer feedback, site metrics, and usability findings. I have been using many useful tools for creating wireframes, functional prototypes, and usability tests like UXPin, Sketch, Adobe XD, Axure, InVision, Marvel app, Balsamiq Mockups, UsabilityTools and Morae among others.
I strongly believe in importance of comprehensive involvement, holistic approach and team collaboration when working on defining requirements, conceptual development, all the way to the final product.
Marketing and project management
Having academic background in marketing and business management I thoroughly understand the importance of business strategy and the complexity of needs of every stakeholder.
I was working integrally on creating mobile apps, including managing the projects, preparing functional specifications, art directing and scheduling. I have a basic experience in web and mobile app analytics systems, defining metrics, KPIs, and optimizing performance. I developed both B2B and B2C applications.
